Our Story
It all started when Nelson & Nicole were traveling around the United States while Nelson served on active military orders. At the beginning of the pandemic, Nicole was furloughed from her position as a Promotions Coordinator for a large media group. Bouncing around as a military spouse made it difficult to find meaningful employment, so, Nicole started freelancing for small businesses, and VanDenburgh Media was born!
We feel other marketing agencies fail to truly understand & care for the client’s needs, especially for small to medium-sized businesses. VanDenburgh Media is built around placing the customer’s needs first. When you partner with us, you don’t just receive marketing services, you get a partner, that cares for your business as if it were their own.
Meet The Team
Nelson VanDenburgh
Co-Founder
Nelson spearheads VanDenburgh Media’s Web Development & Paid Advertising Management. He has a very diverse background, serving in marketing roles with the U.S. Army, ESPN Radio, Albany Broadcasting, & The Tri-City ValleyCats. He currently works full-time as a Marketing & Sales Manager for Auction Central. Nelson continues to serve in the New York Army National Guard as the Executive Officer of an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Company. He is a graduate of the University of New Haven, with a B.A. in Communications.
Nicole VanDenburgh
Co-Founder
Nicole is our Social Media Expert. She also is a fantastic content creator, with expertise in Photography, Videography, & Graphic Design. Nicole has worked in marketing with Yale University, University at Albany Athletics, WNHU Radio & Townsquare Media (ESPN 104.5 “The Team”). She currently works full-time as the Senior Communications Coordinator at Wildwood Programs.
She is also a graduate of the University of New Haven with a B.S. in Communications.
Maggie
Treats Manager
Maggie is the most vital team member at VanDenburgh Media, and she is only 2 years old! She was born in Alabama and found her loving parents when she was just 6-weeks old! Maggie has traveled with Nelson & Nicole wherever they have gone, providing emotional support to everyone she comes in contact with! She loves puppuccinos, playing in the snow, cuddling, and posing for pictures! Follow her on Instagram to track her journey!
